Fly to San José and spend two nights in the Meliá Cariari Hotel. Visit Poás Volcano National Park,  the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, San Josë's museums and the National Theatre, and INBioparque.

Drive to Herradura and board the Sea Voyager.

On the remote Osa Peninsula, which cannot be reached by road, see some of the best pristine lowland rainforest on the Pacific coast.  Hike, kayak, or swim in pristine waters.  Explore the Marenco Biological Station, visit Corcovado National Park. By special invitation, see a spectacular garden at Casa Orquídeas.  Explore Manuel Antonio National Park, a jewel in Costa Rica's park system. Sloths,  monkeys and a variety of birds may be seen. Search for coatis and howler monkeys at Refugio Curu, a privately owned wildlife refuge.
