8 days/7 nights
| A perfect
itinerary for travelers who want to combine adventure with
relaxation.
The tour begins with two-days of thrilling whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River, one of the most scenic river canyons in the tropics. Although there are Class IV (intermediate) rapids on this river, an adventurous first-time rafter will find it thoroughly enjoyable. At your overnight camp there is a trail system through the rainforest and a freshwater stream and waterfall to explore. The remainder of the trip you will be at Manuel Antonio Beach and National Park. Miles of sandy white beaches have made this one of the most popular parks in the national parks system. You will have ample time to explore the forest trails and view migrating marine birds. The waters are crystal clear for snorkeling; the surf is gentle for swimming, body surfing, or just relaxing. A local sea kayak company offers day sea kayaking trips and there are various other optional activities available at extra cost. You may choose to raft for three days, adding the Reventazón River (Class III) prior to the Pacuare River; then you would stay at the beach for two nights instead of three.
